FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in the Capital Project Street Fund 178 in the estimated amount of $785,000. BACKGROUND: The scope of the project is the reconstruction of the 600 and 700 blocks of east Worth Street (from Austin to Ruth Streets) including concrete paving, gutters, sidewalks, handicap ramps and driveway approaches as well as a replacement and lowering of a 6" waterline in the 600 block of east Worth Street. This project is to be funded through two years of CDBG funding (47th and 48th year) with the construction anticipated to occur in the summer of 2022. The construction cost estimate for this project including engineering, is $1,265,000 of which, approximately $480,000 is expected to be provided by Tarrant County over the two years. The City's match is expected to be $785,000 over the two years of CDBG funding. The application process requires that the following statement be included in the memo: "The City shall be responsible for all costs of the 47th Year and 48th Year CDBG project that exceeds the amount of the grant fund."
