Jones net with the council to discuss a new water line to his new addition and the matter was referred to the Water Committee of -Hr. 'Millican and 7r. Lipscomb. The Colored men from down on the "Hill" -iet with the council to discus the water situation in their section XX No action taken and they were advised to investigate digging their o'7,n well. lotion and second unanimously carried to purchase recommended reiapre for our Old Pomona Pump. March -5 th 19460 AND 1CMBERS OF THE, CITY %-.O".rNCIL,, Weo the undersigned citizens and tax paycrsp of the City of Grapevine., do hereby petition you to take immmediate steps to provide sewerage and water to all sections of the Cit7lthat ars not now properly served with sever and. water. Special mention is hereby made of that portion of the City located South of the Cotton Belt Railrod,, and. which has never had any sezver service provided by the City., and also the greater part of College Heights Addition, which Is aloe in great need of sewer service. And in view of the present growth of the City, and the growth and developement that can be expected in the next few years, we feel that an eaten bionof the Sever and Vat service should bO made available to all sections of our Cit7o in order that its growth and progress may continue, and that the health of the people may We urge that i=ed'A.ate steps be taken to obtain a survey of the City's need, as to the proper extension of such utilities, and to take such action as way be necessary. And we further petition you, to cause an election to be held for the purpose issuing a sufficient amounts of bonds to finance such need, if same cannot be done under the present financial status of the City.
