The Board of Zoning Adjustment was first to consider BZA 85-04 submitted by
Mac and Linda Wilburn.
Chairman Lamb noted that a letter was received from the Wilburn's stating
that due to an unfortunate circumstance, they are requesting a postponement
of their case until the next regular Board of Zoning Adjustment meting.
There being no one present to speak on behalf of this case, a motion was
made by Ron Troy to table the case to the next regular meting scheduled
for March 7, 1985 and Vice-Chairman Deavers seconded to motion, which
prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Troy, Deavers, Lamb and Waldrip,
Nays: None
Absent: Thompson, Tischler and Hall
Next for consideration was case BZA 85-05 submitted by Douglas E.
Pendergrass.
This variance request is for 30 feet accumulative width of landscaping in
lieu of a continuous area along State Highway 26. A representative of John
Levitt's office, Mr. Scott Stewart, spoke on behalf of Mr. Pendergrass. He
noted that the property involved in this case has been in a platting
process for over (1) one year and that the reason for the variance request
is so that there will be no more expense put on them for replatting the
property to comply with the new Zoning Ordinance.
Mr. Ted Morgan, an employee of Mr. Pendergrass, spoke relative to a 26-foot
access easement that the City had requested for the front of the property.
There was also some discussion relative to the limited vehicular access to
