HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985-09-24The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in a Special Joint Session with City Council on September 24, 1985 in Council Chambers - 413 Main Street at approximately 7:30 P.M., and at approximately 10:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers with the Planning and Zoning Commission only; with the following persons present, to wit: Richard Atkins Ron Cook Harlen Joyce Peggy Engholm Don Florence Catherine Martin Chairman Vice Chairman Member Member Member Member constituting a quorum, with no absences, and with the following City Staff present to wit: J. R. Baddaker, P.E. Director of Public Works A. L. Dugger, P.E. Assistant Director of Public Works H. T. (Tommy) Hardy Director of Community Development Joy Carroll Planning Aide Mary Peddycoart Secretary As the City Council/ Planning and Zoning Commission joint public hearing was delayed for a long period of time while all awaited the arrival of one of the Council Members, the Planning and Zoning portion of the meeting was convened for miscellaneous discussion and for the consideration of the corrections in the legal description on winding Creek Addition. The Planning and Zoning consideration of the zoning application for Terra Properties was held at the end of the joint public hearing. This is mentioned here merely to explain why this meting did not follow the outline of the published agenda. 10, 1 F3 I Ne-w 0.4 22'.0 Rig The first item of new business for the Planning and Zoning Commission to consider was the replat of Winding Creek Estates. This replat is for corrections in the legal description, and was required by the title company. After the Members had reviewed both the old legal description and the new legal description, a motion was made by Don Florence to reccmuend that council approve this replat. This motion was seconded by Catherine Martin, and prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Florence, Martin, Atkins, Cook, Joyce and Engholm Nays: None Chairman Atkins suggested the following with regard to future plats for corrections of legal descriptions. He feels that this type of plat could be signed by the Chairman or Vice Chairman in the City Offices, without the plat having to come before the Board. Chairman Atkins added that perhaps this could be an addition to the By-Laws of the Planning and Zoning Commission; and then asked for a motion to add this possible By- Law addition to the next agenda for discussion. A motion was made by Ron Cook to add to the next agenda. After a very brief discussion hi same, a motion was made by Harlen Joyce to approve as written.
