HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-06-25STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF TARRANT CITY OF GRAPEVINE The City Council and the Planning 9 Zoning Commission of the City of Grapevine, Texas, convened in joint meeting at 7:50 P.M., on this the 25th day of June, 1974, with the following members present, to-wit: Ooil Dalton Bob Murphy C.O. Pittard Millard Oilg Mayor Pro-Tem Councilman Councilman Councilman with Mayor William Tate, Thelma Conine, and Tommy Eidson, absent, and: Ted Ware Chairman Jerry Jordan Member Harlan Joyce Member Conrad Heede Member Don Stiles Member constituting a quorum, with Joe Kennedy absent, and Mayor Pro-Tem called the meeting to order. The Invocation was given by Ted Ware. Mayor Pro-Tem Dalton opened the public hearing on zoning case Z-74-10, Baker brothers requesting R-3 and C-2 zoning on a tract of land presently zoned R-1. Mr. Jon Michael Franks, attorney for the owners, was present to give the presentation. This was a request for R-3 zoning on a 21.13 acre tract of land situated in the W.P. Herring Survey, Abstract No. 663, and C-2 zoning on a 6 acre tract of land situated in the same Survey and Abstract. Mr. Franks was asked to come forward and give his presentation. He stated that he wished a recess until August 27, 1974, because he was unable to have preliminary plans and plats to present at the hearing. He further stated that he was wishing to change his zoning from R-3 and C-2 to PO Planned Development District. Mr. Ted Ware stated that he could do so only if the PO was less restrictive than the present request. Mr. Franks stated that he was sure that it was less restrictive and that C-1 instead of C-2 would really be the mooning he had in mind. Member Jerry Jordan made a motion to grant the recess until August 27. Member Harlan Joyce seconded the motion and the motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Ware, Jordan, Joyce, Heede, Stiles Noes: None Absent: Joe Kennedy Councilman Pittard made a motion for the Council to grant a recess for [Z-74-10] until August 27. Councilman Murphy seconded the motion and the motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Dalton, Oilg, Pittard, Murphy Noes: None Absent: Tate, Eidson, Conine There being no further business For the Council, the public hearing was recessed and Councilman Dilg moved to adjourn, Councilman Murphy seconded the motion and all members of the Council that were present voted aye. The meeting was adjourned at 8:05 P.M., with the Planning & Zoning Commission reconvening to consider the plating and replating of lots in the Reed Addition. PASSED AND APPROVED, this the day of 5 1974. MAYOR ATTEST: CITY SECRETARY STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF TARRANT CITY OF GRAPEVINE The Planning 6 Zoning Commission of the City of Grapevine, Texas, convened in regular meeting at 8 :05 P.M., on this the 25th day of June, 1974, with the following members Present, to-wit: Ted Ware Chairman Jerry Jordan Member Harlan Joyce Member Don Stiles Member Conrad Heede Member constituting a quorum, with Joe Jordan absent, and Kenneth Pritt City Secretary Jim Hancock Assistant City Manager The Planning 9 Zoning Commission reconvened after a joint hearing with the City Council on zoning application Z-74-10, which was recessed until August 27, 1974. Chairman Ted Ware called the meeting to of-der. The purpose of the meeting was to consider the plating and i-eplating Of lots in the Reed Addition bounded by Lakeridge or., Forrest Hills Rd., Dodd Lane, and Kimball Road. The Assistant city Manager presented the map showing the location OF these lots to the members of the Commission. He explained the need to have these lots plated and in a few cases, replated. After some discussion the City Attorney inserted that the City must make sure they acquire the legal access to the use of the roads leading to,thb interior- lots in this Addition. The Assistant city Manager stated that this could be stipulated in the wording for the registration of the plats. Member Harlan Joyce made a motion to accept the Plats with the provision mentioned above. Member Jerry Jordan seconded the motion and the motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Ware, Heede, Stiles, Jordan, Joyce Noes: None Absent: Kennedy There being no further business, Member Harlan Joyce moved to adjourn the meeting.
