Mayor Pro-Tem Dalton opened the public hearing on zoning case
Z-74-10, Baker brothers requesting R-3 and C-2 zoning on a tract
of land presently zoned R-1. Mr. Jon Michael Franks, attorney
for the owners, was present to give the presentation. This was a
request for R-3 zoning on a 21.13 acre tract of land situated in
the W.P. Herring Survey, Abstract No. 663, and C-2 zoning on a 6
acre tract of land situated in the same Survey and Abstract. Mr.
Franks was asked to come forward and give his presentation. He
stated that he wished a recess until August 27, 1974, because he
was unable to have preliminary plans and plats to present at the
hearing. He further stated that he was wishing to change his
zoning from R-3 and C-2 to PO Planned Development District. Mr.
Ted Ware stated that he could do so only if the PO was less
restrictive than the present request. Mr. Franks stated that he
was sure that it was less restrictive and that C-1 instead of C-2
would really be the mooning he had in mind. Member Jerry Jordan
