HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-10-22STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF TARRANT CITY OF GRAPEVINE The Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of Grapevine, Texas, convened in special meeting at 7:20 P.M., on this the 22nd day of October, 1974, with the following members present, to-wit: Ted Ware Harlan Joyce Joe Kennedy Conrad Heede constituting a quorum, with Jim Hancock Kenneth Pritt Tim Whistler Chairman Member Member Member Assistant City Manager City Secretary City Attorney Commissioner Ted Ware called the meeting to order. The Invocation was given by Commissioner Ware. The Public Hearing on a trailer application was declared open. Mir. Harley F. Bean had applied to place a trailer on a lot outside a trailer park. The Assistant City Manager gave a brief history of the application and pointed out the possible location of the trailer to the members of the Planning & Zoning Commission. Mr. Bean came forward to make his presentation. He introduced his daughter and son-in-law and stated that they would be living in the trailer. The City Secretary introduced the report of the building inspector and the report read as follows: October 22, 1974 For., Harley Bean INSPECTION: Mobile Home DIMENSIONS - 14l x 721 (3 bedroom, 1 bath) ELECTRICAL - Approved breaker box, also has manufacturers certificate of compliance to the Uniform Mobile Home Code. PLUMBING - Good condition through out. GENERAL CONDITION - Good inside and out. Isl Joe E. Lipscomb Joe E. Lipscomb Building Inspector City of Grapevine The City Secretary then introduced a letter of opposition which read as follows: I am opposed to permiting trailer houses in this vacinity- for the reason that it would open up the area to be saturated with trailer houses. 10 -14-1974 Isl Jimmie Smith 3402 Redbird Lane The City Secretary then introduced a petition of approval which read. as follows.- Date.- 9/30/74 The request of Harley F. Bean to move a mobile home onto the location as described on the attached permit is not objectionable to the undersigned. Isl Frank & Laverne Rain@s 2863 Dove Pond Dr. Grapevine, Texas It was stated that the home of Mr. Raines is the only residence that actually has visual contact pith the trailer. There were no questions of the members of the Planning & Zoning Commission and member Joe Kennedy made a motion to close the Public Hearing. Member Conrad Heede seconded the motion and the motion prevailed by the following vote.- Ayes: Ware, Kennedy, Jordan, Heede Noes: None Absent: Joyce, Stiles Commissioner Ware declared the Public Hearins, closed. 'ZI The Planning & Zoning Commission then met to give a decision on the trailer application. Commissioner Ware called for a motion following a short discussion. Member Joe Kennedy made a motion to approve the application and recommend approval to the City Council. Member Conrad Heede seconded the motion and the motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Ware, Kennedy, Jordan, Heede Noes: None Absent: Joyce, Stiles Member Jerry Jordan stated that he wanted to make sure that the applicant realized that his permit was renewable each year. There being no further business, Commissioner Ted Ware declared the meeting adjourned.
