COUNTY OF TARRANT
CITY OF GRAPEVINE
The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in a
Special Session on this the 12th day of May, 1981 with the following persons
present to-wit:
Sharron Spencer Vice Chairman
Harold Anderson Member
Ron Cook Member
Harlen Joyce Member
Gerald Norman Member
constituting a quorum with City Engineer J.R. Baddaker and Secretary Terry
Pennington also in attendance.
CALL TO ORDER
Vice Chairman Sharron Spencer called the meeting to order.
COURTNEY SQUARE - Preliminary Plat
The first order of business to come before the Planning and Zoning Commission
was the consideration of Courtney Square preliminary plat.
Members discussed entrances and exits on Wildwood and the close proximity to
the intersection of Wildwood and Dooley. Member Ron Cook suggested closing
off two exits. Member Gerald Norman pointed out possible conflicts with
police and fire protection if the exits were closed off. Member Harold
Anderson felt the Commission should not approve or disapprove the plat until
the public hearing had been held concerning the requested zoning change.
Member Ron Cook made a motion to table the decision on the preliminary plat
of Courtney Square. Member Harlen Joyce seconded the motion and it prevailed
by the following vote:
Ayes: Spencer, Anderson, Cook, Joyce, and Norman
Nays: None
MASTER PLAN UPDATE - Discussion
The next order of business to come before the Planning and Zoning Commission
was the discussion of the master plan update.
Members had a lengthly discussion with Craig Farmer of Freese and Nichols concerning
landscaping ordinances, housing stock in Grapevine, and the proposed thoroughfare
plan. No formal action was taken.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Planning and Zoning Commission
Member Harold Anderson made a motion to adjourn. Member Ron Cook seconded the
motion and all in attendance voted "aye".
