HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-03-11STIiTE OF =AS CCUNNTY OF TARRAN r CITY OF GR11PL• -TE The Planning and Zoning commission of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in a t%brkshop Session on this the 11th day of March, 1982 at 7:00 P.M. in the Conference Room, 413 Main Street, with the following persons present to -wit: Sharron Spencer Ron Cook Ann Glynn Harlen Joyce Harold Anderson Chairman Vice - Chairman Member rlember Member constituting a quorum with Members Gerald Norman and Klee Hawkins absent, with the following members of the City Staff: Jim, Baddaker Public Works Director Zbnuny Hardy Building Official Marc Guy City Planner Patte Bird Secretary The meeting was called to order by Chairman Sharron Spencer. NEW BUSINESS The Planning and Zoning Commission discussed general areas relative to the Residential Zoning districts. Changes made were: Section 12 - Subsection C - No. 2 - Change 15 feet to 25 feet. Section 12 - Subsection C - No. 3 - Omit all after "IS feet ". Section 12 - Subsection C - No. 6 - "Land area per dwelling unit" _ was charged from 3,500 sq. ft. to 3,750 sq. feet and the word ' "maximum" should be added after (12 units per acre). Section 12 - Subsection C - No. 7 - (a) - Change from 10 feet to 12 feet. Section 12 - Subsection D - No. 1 - Change from 36 feet to 2 stories or 30 feet. Add wording " "minimum square footage per dwelling unit as per ordinance on page 1882 ". Add the paragraph "When any of the foregoing permitted accessory uses are detached from a principal dwelling, said use shall be located not less than 45 feet from the front lot line nor less than 20 feet from any street right -of -way and at least 6" from the rear and side lot line ". Section 13 - Subsection A - Omit No. 5. Section 13 - Subsection A - Add No. 5 - Nursing Homes. Section 13 - Subsection A - Add No.-6 - Dav Care Centers. Section 13 - Subsection B - No. 1 - Omit "any principal building used as a single family dwelling" and add "residential zoned district ". Section 13 - Subsection B - No. 3 - Omit completely. Section 13 - Subsection B - No. 4 - Omit "any principal building used as a single family dwelling" and add "residential zoned district ". Section 13 - Subsection B - No.5 - Add the word "Screened" before garbage, change from 30 feet to 50 feet delete the wording "developed lot used as a single family dwelling-, and add "residential district boundary line and not within front yard setback". Section 13 - Subsection B - No.6 - Omit the wording "developed lot used and the wording "single family dwelling" and add residential district" and replace the word "lot,, with "district". Section 13 - Subsection B - Add No. 7 "sleeting, party and/or social rooms in ccrm-G-n area only". Section 13 - Subsection B - Add No. 8 Cabana, pavilion or roofed area. Section 13 - Subsection B - Add 140. 9 Detached covered, common parking. Section 13 - Subsection C - No. 2 - Change 15 feet to 25 feet and delete all wording after that. Section 13 - Subsection c - No. 3 - Delete all wording after 15 feet. Section 13 - Subsection C - No. 4 - Change 80 feet to 100 feet. Section 13 - Subsection C - No. 5 - Change 80 feet to 100 feet. Section 13 - Subsection C - No. 6 - Change 2,420 sq. ft. to 2,200 sq. ft. Change (18 units per acre) to (20 units per acre maximum) . Section 13 - Subsection C - No. 7 - (a) Change 10 feet to 12 feet. Section 13 - Subsection D - No. 1 - Change from 36 feet to 30 feet or 2 stories. Section 13 - Add n-Linimum, sq. ft. per dwelling as per ciu.-rent ordinance page 1882. Section 13 - Add PPRKiNG REGULATIONS. Provisions for the parking of automobiles shall be permitted as an accessory use to any principal permitted use provided that such shall not be located in a required front yard. Off-street parking shall be provided in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance and other applicable ordinances of the City. Section 14 - Cmit all of P-ULTI-FMILY DISTRICT REGULATIONS section. Section 15 - Subsection B - No. 3 - Add in "coffin areas only". Section 15 - Subsection B - Private garages - change from 301 to 401. Section 15 - Subsection C - No. 4 - Change from 22 feet to 30 feet. Section 15 - Subsection C - No. 6 - Change to read (12 units per acre maximum). Section 15 - Subsection D - No. 1 - Change from 30 feet to 2 stories or 25 feet. Section 16 - Subsection A - No. 1 - delete "park or". Section 16 - Subsection B - No. 2 - delete "any principal building used as a single family residence" and add "Residential Zoning District". Section 16 - Subsection B - No. 3 - Change the word tenants to residents. Section 16 - Subsection B - No. 4 - Add the word screened before garbage, change 30 feet to 50 feet, delete "developed lot used for single family dwelling" to " Residential Zoning District". Section 16 - Subsection B - Add No. 7 - Storage Buildings (100 sq. ft. or less - no electrical wiring or plumbing - anything larger must have Council approval. Section 16 - Subsection C - No. 2 - Change 15 feet to 25 feet. Section 16 - Subsection C - No. 4 - Change to read "Mobile Home - Only One (1) single family mobile home shall be permitted on each lot or lot of record within a Mobile Home subdivision. Each lot of record within a Mobile Home subdivision shall contain a minix= of... Section 16 - Subsection C - Add 110. 5 - Minimum sq. footage per dwelling unit is 600 sq. ft. Section 16 - Subsection D - No. 1 - Change to 1 story or 151. Section 16 - Subsection D - No. 2 - Change to 1 story or 151. Section 16 - Subsection E - SPECIAL CUMITIOI,IS - Delete completely. Section 17 - Subsection B - To read the same as R7.5. Section 17 - Subsection C - No. 1 - change from 25' to 301. Section 17 - Subsection C - No. 2 - Change from 201 to 257. Section 17 - Subsection C - No. 3 - Change from 51 to 61. Section 17 - Subsection C - No. 4 - Change from 601 to 65' Section 17 - Subsection C - No. 6 - Change from 6,000 sq. ft. to 7,500 sq. ft. Section 17 - Subsection D - No. 2 - Change to read 1 story or 16'. Section 17 - Subsection D - Add No. 4 - Minimum sq. ft. per dwelling unit 1,200. Section 17 - Subsection E -.Add z No. .3 - Site plans issued on the same forms as building permits - 'The fee for this site plan is $50.00. NLW BUSINESS The Planning & Zoning Workshop was changed from Thursday, march 25th to 1',briday, March 22nd. There will be a special Council Fleeting on P-lay 4, 1982 at 7:30 P.M. ADJOM\2.= There being no further business to core before the Planning & Zoning conmussion, Member Ann Glynn made a motion to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Member Ron Cook and prevailed by the following votes: Ayes .
