CITY OF GRAPEVINE
The Pl,-uuiing & Zoning Commission of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in
Regular Session on this the 16th day of March, 1982 at 7:30 P.M. in the
Civic Center, 311 Main street, with the following persons present
to -grit :
Sharron Spencer
Pon Cook
Ann Glynn

constituting a quorum with lie ber Gerald Norman absent, with the
following members of the City Staff:
Jim Baddaker
Marc Guy
Patte Bird
Public Works Director
City Planner

The meting was called to order by Chairman Sharron Spencer, who then
explained the procedures of the meting.
ZONING APPLICATION Z82-08 (ROBBINS)
The first order of business was for the Planning & Zoning Commission to
consider Zoning Application Z82-08 (Robbins) and make a recommendation
to the City Council.
The Cormassion discussed the application at length, being concerned with
the parking area surface, structure of the building and having a barrier
placed around Mr. M's property.
bIeirber Harlen Joyce made a motion to accept the application with the
following amsendents being met:
1. Parking area must be an all weather surface. '
2. A six foot (61) solid screening fence enclose the property.
3. That the fence be specified to surround all of Ivir. M's
property.
The notion was seconded by Mellber Klee Hawkins and prevailed by the
following votes:
Ayes : Cook, Glynn, Hawkins, Joyce
Nays : Spencer, Anderson
Abstain : None
ZONING APPLICATION Z82-09 ( =iEaaTIONAL AEROSPACE Cop
'pORATION)
The next order of business was for the Plannirg & Zoning Commission to
consider Zoning Application Z82-09 (International Aerospace Corporation)
and make a recommndation to the City Council.
The Coi-m-Rission discussed this briefly being concerned that this
application dces not met the minimum square footage standards.
Member flarlen Joyce made a motion to deny the zoning application.
The motion was seconded by Chairman Sharron Spencer and prevailed by the
following votes:
Ayes : Spencer, Cook, Glynn, Joyce, Anderson
Nays : None
Abstain : Hawkins
MV'R,G APPLIC<-rLIGN Z82 -10 (GLR.SCHICIC)
The next order of business was for the Planning & Zoning Commission to
consider Zoning application Z82 -10 (Gerschick) and make a recommendation
to the City Council.
The Commission discussed this application at length being concerned with
the outcaard appearance of the property.
Member Ron Cook made to a motion to accept the application with the
following amendments being met:
1. Six foot (6') fence across the North and East side of the
property.
2. Four foot (41) chain -link fence across the West side (Lucas and
114).
3. Must have a crushed stone area to encompass the building,
railroad ties, equipment, driveway, fertilizer and parking
area.
4. The building must be 14' x 32' instead of 14' x 301.
The motion was seconded by umber Harlen Joyce and prevailed by the
following votes:
Ayes . Spencer, Cook, Glynn, Joyce, Anderson
Nays . None
Abstain : Hawkins
ZONING APPLICATION Z82 -12 (PARIS)
The next order of business was for the Planning & Zoning Commission to
consider Zoning Application Z82 -12 (Paris) and make a recommendation to
the City Council.
The CorMssion had a lengthy discussion concerning this application.
The overall objection was to the inadequate width of the walkwav in the
event there was a fire.
Member Ann Glynn then made a mz tion to deny the zoning application.
The motion was seconded by Nkaipber Harlen Joyce and prevailed by the
following votes:
Ayes . Spencer, Cook, Glynn, Joyce and Anderson
Nays . None
Abstain : Hawkins
ZONING APPLICATION Z82 -13 (WRIGHT)
The next order of business was for the Planning & Zoning Commission to
consider Zoning Application Z82 -12 (Wright) and make a recommendation to
the City Council.
The Ccmzni.ssion had a very lengthy discussion concerning this
application. The main objections were that the units did not meet the
minin= square footage, the 15' alley -ways, the sewer and drainage
problems and the traffic on Ponderosa and Mustang. Member Ron Cook made
a motion to deny the application.
The motion was seconded by Chairman Sharron Spencer and prevailed by the
following votes:
Ayes . Spencer, Cook, Glvnn, Joyce & Anderson
Nays . None
Abstain : Hawkins
DOOLEY STREET CONDOMINIUM ADDITION PRIUIMIMRy PLAT
'iT.e next order of business was for the Planning & Zoning Conynission to
consider the Dooley Street Condominium Addition Preliminary Plat.
Meirber Ron Cook made a motion to accept the plat.
The motion was seconded by Member Harlen Joyce and prevailed by the
following votes:
Ayes : Spencer, Cook, Glynn, Hawkins, Joyce & Anderson
Nays : None
Abstain : None
WEST PORT VILLAGE PRETTIM4ARy PLAT
The next order of business was for the Plann']-ng & Zoning Comnission to
consider the West Port Village Preliminary Plat.
Since zoning On this site was Previously denied, as per case Z82-13,
there was reason for the Commission to act on this request.
No vote was taken.
MISCEI-=OUS REPORTS AND/OR DISCUSSION
Minutes from the Planning and Zoning Commission meetings on the 11th,
16th and 25th of February and on the 2nd of March were reviewed.
Chairman Sharron Spencer requested that the minutes from these meetings
be amended to include the names of the Members who have made a motion in
the vote total.

There being no further business to come before the Planning & Zoning
commission, Member Ann Glynn made a motion to adjourn. The motion was
seconded by Member Ron Cook and prevailed by the following votes:
Ayes : Spencer, Cook, Glynn, Hawkins, Joyce & Anderson
Nays : None
