HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-04-01STXfE OF TF-X1S COU=OF TAPMW C= OF GRAPEv= The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in Workshop Session on this the lst day of April, 1982 at 7:00 p.m. in the Conference Room, 413 Main Street, with the following persons present to-wit: Sharron spencer Ron Cook Harold Anderson Ann Glynn Harlen Joyce Gerald Norman ChairTmn Vice Chairman Member Member Menber member constituting a quo= with Plenber Klee Hawkins absent, with the following members of the City Staff: Jim Baddaker Public Works Director Marc Guy City Planner To=y Hardy Building Official Patte Bird Secretary MUMEM The meeting was called to order by Chair-man Sharron Spencer. NEW BUS12QTESS Mr. Dale Smith and Mr. Lou Hillman addressed the COMMission concerning the building of condominimums on Mrs. Boyd's property. The property is adjacent to the one purchased by St. Francis' church. The property is 7.5 acres and they plan to build 120 units. The Commission expressed that there would be great opposition from the neighbors living in the Woods addition. The Planning and Zoning Conrdssion discussed general areas relative to the Commercial and Industrial Zoning districts. Changes made were: Section 22 - Subsection A - Change No. 4 to read "Air Freight Fonvarders". Section 22 - Subsection B - No. 1 - change the word spae to "space ". Section 22 - Subsection B - No. 4 - include the wording after "equipment ", "incidential to the structure". Section 22 - Subsection B - No. 6 - eliminate the wording "developed lot used for single fanuly dwelling"; add "Residential Zoned District". Section 22 - Subsection B - Add No. 7 - "Screened garbage no nearer than 30 feet to a Residential Zoned District". Section 22 - Subsection C - Add No. *7 - "Sales, storage and/or display areas, in the required front yard setback, must be surfaced". Section 22 - Subsection D - No. 1 - Change to read "2 stories not to exceed 30 feet in height". Section 22 - Subsection D - No. 2 - Change to read "l story not to exceed 20 feet in height". Section 23 - Subsection B - Change No. 3 to read "Screened garbage storage no nearer than 30 feet to a dwelling and/or residential district". Section 23 - Subsection B - Change No. 4 to read "Mechanical equipment no nearer than 120 feet to a residential district". Section 23 - Subsection B - No. 5 ' Eliminate the Wording "developed lot used for single family dwelling,,, to Residential zoned district". Section 23 - Subsection C - No. 1 (f) - include with 1740 sq. . ft. "25 units maximum". Section 23 - Subsection D - No. 1 - Change R-15 to R-20, and R-6 to R-12.5; omit the wording "District used as a single family residence" to read "used as a residential zoned district". Section 23 - Subsection D - No. 2 - Change 50% to 750. Section 23 - Subsection D - No. 3 - Change 700, 100% to 85% total. Section 24 - Subsection A - No. 5 - Include "concrete surface" after terminals. Section 24 - Subsection B - No. 1 - Change the wording "any principal building used for single family dwelling", to read "residential zoned district". Section 24 - Subsection B - No. 2 Change the Wording "single family dwelling" to "residential zoned district". Section 24 - Subsection B - No. 3 Include the word "Screened". before garbage and change the wording "single family dwelling,, to "residential zoned district". Section 24 - Subsection D - No. 1 - Omit the wording to "residential zoned district". vording developed Section 24 - Subsection D - No. 2 - Omit the wording "dwelling purposes" to "residential zoned district". Section 12 - Subsection A - No.1 After "dwelling" add "including condcminimums". Section 13 - Subsection A - No. 1 After "dwelling" add "including condcrainimums". Consideration to setting Landscaping Ordinances will be reviewed by the City Staff and discussed at a later date. There being no further business to come before the Planning and Zoning Conrnission, 1,kmber Harold Anderson made a motion to adjourn.
