in Special Session on this the 3rd day of August, 1982 at 7:30 P.M. in
the Civic Center, 311 Main Street, with the following persons present
to wit:
Sharron spencer
Ron Cook
Arm Glynn
Klee Hawkins
Harlen Joyce
Gerald Norman
Tom Powers
Chairman

constituting a quorum, with the following mffnbers of the City Staff:
Jim Baddaker Director, Public Works
Marc Guy City Planner
Patte Bird Secretary
The meting was called to order by Chairman Sharron Spencer, who then
explained the procedures of the meting.

Zoning Application Z82-34 was tabled at the public hearing until the
August, 17, 1982 Council Meeting. In the Civic Center the Conrdssion
discussed this application with Jim Baddaker who informed them that the
structure did not met the FAA's height restrictions. Mr. Bob Heath,
Planning and Engineering, D/FW Airport, had called that day to say that
the height of 783 feet was in violation of the D/FW Airport's Hazard
Zoning Ordinance.
The first order of business was for the Planning & Zoning Commission to
consider Zoning Application Z82-35 (Comstock) and make a recommendation
to the City Council.
There was no discussion. Member Ron Cook made a motion to deny this
application.
The motion was seconded by Member Harlen Joyce and prevailed by the
following vote:
Ayes : Spencer, Cook, Glynn, Hawkins, Joyce, Norman, Powers
Nays : None
Abstain : None
This application was withdrawn at the Public Hearing.
The next order of business was for the Planning & Zoning Con-anission to
consider the replat in the W.C. Lucas Addition and make a reconmendation
to the City Council.
There was no discussion. Member Harlen Joyce made a motion to accept
this replat.
The motion was seconded by Member Gerald Norman and prevailed by the
following vote:
Ayes : Spencer, Cook, Glynn, Hawkins, Joyce, Norman, Powers
Nays : None
Abstain : None
FINAL PLAT OF WESTVIEW BUSINESS PARK
The next order of business was for the Planning & Zoning COMdssion to
consider the final plat of Westview Business Park and make a
recommendation to the City Council.
There was a brief discussion. The min concern was ingress and egress
to Dove Road and Northwest Highway. Member Klee Hawkins made a motion
to accept this final plat with the condition that there be no left turn
on the north and east exits.
The motion was seconded by Member Harlen Joyce and prevailed by the
following vote:
Ayes : Spencer, Glynn, Hawkins, Joyce, Norman, Powers
Nays : Cook
Abstain : None

The next order of business was for the Planning & Zoning Commission to
consider the final plat of the Storehouse Addition and make a
recommendation to the City Council.
There was a brief discussion with regards to the setbacks and whether a
site plan was required. umber Harlen Joyce made a motion to accept
this final plat.
The motion was seconded by Member Klee Hawkins and prevailed by the
following vote:
Ayes : Spencer, Cook, Glynn, Hawkins, Joyce, Norman, Powers
Nays : None
Abstain : None
OLD BUSINESS
The next order of business was for the planning & Zoning Commission to
consider the replat in ShOrecrest Acres and make a recommendation to the
City Council.
There was no discussion. Member Klee Hawkins made a motion to accept
this replat.
The motion was seconded by Member Harden Joyce and prevailed by the
following vote:
Ayes : Spencer, Cook, Glynn, Hawkins, Joyce
Nays : None
Abstain : Norman, Powers
The next order of business was for the Planning & Zoning Commission to
review the minutes from the Ju-".-, 20, 1982 meting. Member Harlen Joyce
said that on Zoning Application Z82-32 he had voted Nay. Member Klee
Hawkins made a motion to accept the minutes as amended.
The motion was seconded by Member Gerald Norman and prevailed by the
following vote:
Ayes : Spencer, cook, Glynn, Hawkins, Joyce, Norman, Powers
Nays : None
Abstain : None

There being no further business to con-le before the Planning and Zoning
COMMission, Member Ann Glynn made a motion to adjourn. The motion was
seconded by Member Harlen Joyce and prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes : Spencer, Cook, Glynn, Hawkins, Joyce, Norman, Powers
Nays : None
Abstain : None
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PLANNING AND ZONANG COMMISSION OF THE
