Both Russell & Robert are teaching more private lessons and Tim Brantley is giving 12-15 lessons per month at GGC. ITEM 4- Golf Course Maintenance Report (Merlin Tielkemeier) Merlin reported that we will likely have some winter kill turf (Greens on P 1,3,4,6, M1 & B4) from the February storm and will deal with accordingly in coming months. Snow helped most green except these have exposed areas where snow blew off snow on slopes. Some plugging and sodding may be required. May have lost a few trees but too early to tell. Poa is problem on several greens as is case every spring. Many chemicals applied, but getting tougher to eliminate due to resistance to most legal chemicals. Should all die when temps rise. Gary asked if big tree by #P6 tee could be trimmed. Bob Blalock mentioned benches. Bryan asked about cart path repair needed on # 9 Mockingbird. Merlin said he was aware and there are other areas that need repair as well.
