SUBJECT: APPROVAL FOR THE AWARD OF AN INFORMAL REQUEST FOR
QUOTE FOR FIBER CONDUIT
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider approval for the award of an informal request for
quote for fiber conduit from Terry-Durin Company for the Public Works
Department.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in the Capital Projects Fund (Fiber Optics) for an
amount not to exceed $32,600.
BACKGROUND: This purchase is for innerduct conduit used for installing fiber optic cable
as part of the fiber project.
Quotes were taken in accordance with City Purchasing Policy. Formal bids
and advertisements are not required for purchases under $50,000. Three
vendors submitted quotations. Terry-Durin Company submitted the lowest
responsive and responsible quote meeting specifications.

Staff recommends approval.
