STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF TARRANT CITY OF GRAPEVINE The City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in a Special Meeting on this the 12th day of May, 2021 in the City Council Chambers, Second Floor, 200 South Main Street, with the following members present: William D. Tate Mayor Darlene Freed Mayor Pro Tern Leon Leal Council Member constituting a quorum for canvassing, with Council Members Sharron Rogers, Chris Coy, Duff O'Dell and Paul Slechta being absent and with the following members of the City Staff: Bruno Rumbelow Jennifer Hibbs Matthew C.G. Boyle Tara Brooks Call to Order City Manager Assistant City Manager City Attorney City Secretary Mayor Tate called the meeting to order at 1:16 p.m. Item 1. Consider Resolution No. 2021-005 canvassing the Mav 1, 2021 Citv Election for Mayor, Citv Council Place 1 and Citv Council Place 2, declarinq the results, and takinq anv necessary action. City Secretary Tara Brooks reported the results of the May 1, 2021 City Election. For Mayor Nick Kaufman received 1,400 votes and William D. Tate received 5,917 votes. In City Council Place 1, Paul Slechta was unopposed and received 6,074 votes. In the City Council Place 2 election, Breann Burke received 1,219 votes, Theresa Lopez Strayer received 710 votes and Sharron (Spencer) Rogers received 5, 040 votes. Motion was made to approve Resolution No. 2021-005 declaring William D. Tate duly elected Mayor, Paul Slechta duly elected to City Council Place 1 and Sharron (Spencer) Rogers duly elected to City Council Place 2.
