1. Consider Resolution No. 2021-005 canvassing the May 1, 2021 City Election for
Mayor, City Council Place 1 and City Council Place 2, declaring the results, and
taking any necessary action.
ADJOURNMENT
In accordance with the Open Meetings Law, Texas Government Code, Chapter 551,

SUBJECT: CANVASS GENERAL ELECTION
RECOMMENDATION:
Consider a resolution canvassing the May 1, 2021 City Election for Mayor, City Council
Place 1 and City Council Place 2; declaring the results; and take any necessary action.
BACKGROUND:
On May 1, a General Election was held to elect a Mayor and City Council Place 1 and City
Council Place 2.
The unofficial results are as follows:

After the Early Voting Ballot Board meets, Tarrant County will provide the official results
early next week. At the time, Resolution No. 2021-005 will be finalized and the final results
and resolution will be provided to Council at the meeting.
CC ITEM # 1
As a result of the May 1, 2021 General Election, William D. Tate is declared duly elected as
Mayor, Paul Slechta is declared duly elected to City Council, Place 1 and Sharron Rogers
is declared duly elected to City Council, Place 2.
The swearing-in ceremony will take place during the Regular City Council meeting on May
18, 2021.
