The oath of office was administered to the following
aldermen
for the year beginning May lst, 1935 and ending May
lst, 1936;
B. R. Wall Mayor, A. W. Willhoite, C. M. Millican, D.
E.
Austin, F. P. -yiegers and H. C. Yancey, aldermen.
A resolution was adopted authorizing the Mayor to
enter into
a contract with the Texas Power and Light Company for
a new
rate sehedule for one year begginning May ist, 1935
and ending
May lat, 1936. A copy of the contract, rate schedule
and resolu-
tion authorizing such contract, attached hereto.
Motion duly seconded that authorizing the mayor fo
represent
the City of Grapevine in a hearing on application of
the Bowen
Bus Lines to aperate through Grapevine. Said hearing
to be held
in Dallas, Texas on May 27th, 1935. Mr. L. C. Eastland
of the
Bowen Bus Lines met and discussed the matter with the City
o un c i I .
The City unanimously voted to our-chase 6 new meters for the
city and necessary repairs for the old meters.
No further business motion carried to adjourn.
