This letter confirms on May 19, 2021 the Historic Preservation Staff approved #CA21-31
for the property addressed 420 East College Street, legally described as Block 23, Lot 2R1,
City of Grapevine, to the Grapevine Historic Preservation Ordinance 91-73 (Appendix G —
Grapevine Code of Ordinances), as amended, for the following:
Brick for use on the exterior of the new outdoor fireplace in the pavilion in the rear yard
of the house: Brick manufacturer is Hebron Brick Company, product "Castlewood",
with its size, color and texture closely matching the appearance of the existing brick
on the McPherson House chimneys,
as per the attached photo of the brick sample board.
An approved Certificate of Appropriateness is not an approved building permit; a
building permit is / is not required. Contact the City of Grapevine's Building
Department at 817.410.3165 for fees and information regarding permits.
