HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 05 - Touring and Sightseeing Service ExpansionTouring and Sightseeing Service Expansion accommodates up to 28 passengers plus a driver and host. The applicant is also wishing to add two additional routes. The first route would be a daily route to include a pickup and drop off at Grapevine Mills Mall. The second route would include drop off and pick up during the Main Street Days Festival from the Bank of the West parking lot. • The applicant has completed a supplement to his original Touring/Sightseeing Service Application for the City of Grapevine. A copy of that supplement application is attached. No additional operators are being requested for permitting at this time. LOCATION AND ROUTE OF SERVICE Grapevine Excursions is located at 151 South Dooley Street, Grapevine, Texas. The additional routes proposed by the applicant are: Grapevine Mills Pickup Add a daily route to include a pickup and drop off location at the mall. Seeking approval to pick up guests at one of the mall entrances. Option #1 1. Pick up at the Grapevine Mills Mall in front of the entry in neighborhood three (Burlington Coat Factory) 2. Exit the mall parking lot to East Grapevine Mills Circle 3. Travel west on Northwest Highway to Fairway Drive 4. Proceed over the dam, turnaround at Rockledge Park 5. Enter/exit the water at Silverlake Marina (30 minutes in water) 6. Proceed back to the mall, traveling east on Northwest Highway Option #2 1. Pick up at the Grapevine Mills Mall in front of the entry in neighborhood six (Dr. Pepper Star Center) 2. Exit the mall parking lot to West Grapevine Mills Circle 3. Travel west on Northwest Highway to Fairway Drive 4. Proceed over the dam, turnaround at Rockledge Park 5. Enter/exit the water at Silverlake Marine (30 minutes in water) 6. Proceed back to the mall, traveling east on Northwest Highway Daily times: 12 pm, 2 pm, 4 pm March 28, 2007 (3:25PM) Main Street Days Festival During the festival, extend our route to pickup/drop off guests near the gates. Pick up guests at the south gate a. Pull parallel with the gate barricade offset on Dallas Road b. Load guest for approximately 10 minutes c. Pull forward and travel west on Dallas Road 2. Travel north on Ball Street. 3. Go east on Northwest Highway 4. Go north on Fairway Drive 5. Proceed over the dam, turnaround at Rockledge Park. 6. Enter/exit the water at Silverlake Marine (30 minutes in water.) 7. Proceed back to the south gate via Northwest Highway, Texan Trail and Dallas Road 8. Unload guests at the south gate barricade.
