HomeMy WebLinkAbout0405 Callback Pay34 405 Callback Pay Non-exempt employees who are required to respond to emergency conditions by being called back to their duty station on non-scheduled work hours shall receive callback pay. .01 The callback will be initiated by a responsible department authority. .02 Eligible employees begin receiving callback pay from time of contact by department instructing them to return to their duty station. .03 Callback pay shall be calculated at one and one-half times the employee's hourly rate for all compensable hours recorded over 40 in the seven-day work period. Callback pay for Police personnel assigned to 12 hour shifts shall be calculated at one and one-half times the employee’s hourly rate for all compensable hours recorded over 80 in a pay period as established in July 2005. .04 The employee shall receive not less than two hours of callback pay for any given emergency situation. .05 Employees responding to a “callback” are expected to be fit for duty upon returning to work. An employee who is called back to work is subject to the provisions of the Drug and Alcohol policy. Revised 03/26/2008 Revised 06/09/2019
