HomeMy WebLinkAbout0705 Reduction in Work Force107 705 Reduction in Work Force The City of Grapevine may be forced to lay off employees due to changes in functions of the organization, lack of work, or lack of funds. Where possible, an affected employee will be transferred to a suitable position elsewhere within the organization. In the event a regular full-time employee’s job is eliminated through no fault of their own, employee will receive the equivalent of one week’s pay for each completed year of full-time service with the City of Grapevine. The City is required to deduct such items as TMRS, Medicare and Federal Income Tax from this check. Eligible employees will be afforded the opportunity for continued insurance coverage at their own expense. Refer to Continuation of Health Care Coverage policy for details (Policy 707).
