SUBJECT: APPROVAL FOR THE EMERGENCY REPAIR OF RAW WATER
PUMP/MOTOR NO 3 AT THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT.
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider approving and ratifying the emergency repair of
raw water pump/motor no. 3 at the Water Treatment Plant from Global
Pump Solutions for the Public Works Department.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in the Enterprise Utility Fund for a total amount not to
exceed $17,763.
BACKGROUND: This purchase is for the repair of raw water pump/motor no. 3 at the water
treatment plant. This is one of the main pumps that provides raw water to
the water treatment plant for treatment. This pump has failed and has to
be repaired.
This purchase will be made in accordance with an existing interlocal
agreement as allowed by Texas Local Government Code, Chapter 271
and Texas Government Code, Chapter 791.
An emergency purchase order was issued to Global Pump Solutions for
the repair purchase at the wastewater treatment plant on July 13, 2021.
