SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF CONTRACT FOR EMPLOYEE AND FAMILY HEALTH
CLINICS
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider approval of a professional services contract for
employee and family health clinics with Texas Health Physicians Group
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in the General Fund (Insurance) in the estimated
annual amount of$60,000.
BACKGROUND: Approval of this contract renewal will provide clinic services for employees
and their families with Texas Health Physicians Group. As part of
continually providing exceptional healthcare to City employees, Grapevine
provides free, same-day sick visits at local doctors' offices.
This contract will expand the clinic program by adding one new office
location to the four physicians with which we currently work. The clinics
continue to be a convenience for employees and their families to get the
care they need so they can rapidly return to work. This renewal is for a
three-year contract with no increases in service fees.
Staff recommends approval.
