HomeMy WebLinkAboutPZ Item 11 - MinutesSTATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF TARRANT CITY OF GRAPEVINE The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in Regular Session on this the 21st day of September 2021 in the Planning and Zoning Conference Room, 200 South Main Street, 2nd Floor, Grapevine, Texas with the following members present -to -wit: Monica Hotelling Vice Chairman Traci Hutton Member Dennis Luers Member Beth Tiggelaar Member Gabe Griess Alternate Jason Parker Alternate With Larry Oliver, Jim Fechter and David Hallberg absent, constituting a quorum the following City Staff: Erica Marohnic Planning Services Director Ron Stombaugh Development Services Assistant Director Albert L. Triplett, Jr. Planner II Call to Order Vice Chairman Hotelling called the meeting to order at 7.05 p.m. BRIEFING SESSION Item 1. Vice Chairman Hotelling announced the Planning and Zoning Commission would conduct a work session relative to the following cases: CU21-22 SEWELL VILLAGE CADILLAC Vice Chairman Hotelling closed the Briefing Session at 7.08 p.m. JOINT PUBLIC HEARINGS Mayor Tate called the meeting to order at 7.30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. Item 2 of the Joint Public Hearings were held in the City Council Chambers. The Planning and Zoning Commission recessed to the Planning and Zoning Conference Room, Second Floor to consider published agenda items. PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION SEPTEMBER 21, 2021 PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION REGULAR SESSION Call to Order Vice Chairman Hotelling called the Planning and Zoning Commission deliberation session to order at 7.43 p.m. Item 4. Citizen Comments There was no one wishing to speak during citizen comments. Item 5. Conditional Use Application CU21-22 — Sewell Village Cadillac Next for the Commission to consider and make recommendation to City Council was conditional use application CU21-22 submitted by Gensler & Associates for property located at 1005 East Highway 114 and platted as Lot 2R-1, Block 1 Wallcon Addition, City of Grapevine. The applicant was requesting a conditional use permit to amend the previously approved site plan for CU15-05 (Ord. 2005-16) for sales and service sales of new and used automobiles, specifically to allow for the development of a parking structure. In the Commission's deliberation session, Traci Hutton moved to approve conditional use application CU21-22. Dennis Luers seconded the motion, which prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Hotelling, Hutton, Luers, Griess, Parker and Tiggelaar Nays: None Item 6. Consider the minutes of the August 17, 2021 Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting Next for the Commission to consider were the minutes of August 17, 2021, Planning and Zoning Public Hearing. Traci Hutton moved to approve the minutes of August 17, 2021. David Luers seconded the motion, which prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Hotelling, Hutton, Luers, Griess and Parker Nays: None Abstention: Tiggelaar Adiournment 092121 2 PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION SEPTEMBER 21, 2021 With no further business to discuss, Jason Parker moved to adjourn the meeting at 7.44 p.m. Traci Hutton seconded the motion, which prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Oliver, Hotelling, Tiggelaar, Hutton, Griess and Parker Nays: None PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS ON THIS THE 19T" DAY OF OCTOBER, 2021.
