BACKGROUND: This purchase is for two new 2022 Horton Ambulances on a Ford F450 chassis replacing units 10402 and 10413 as approved in the FY 2022 Fleet Replacement budget for the Fire Department. These units are available at all times equipped to respond to most any medical emergency providing EMTs with state-of-the-art technology for out of hospital medical care and ensuring reliable and safe transport to medical facilities and hospitals. These assets are the most utilized vehicles of our first responders and invaluable to the citizens of Grapevine.
