WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas desires to purchase trash containers for
Main Street as follows:
22 Each DuMor Trash Containers Series 200
With Grapevine Logo $19,404.00
WHEREAS, a recommendation was made to the City of Grapevine Historic
Preservation Commission to purchase the containers specified above and was approved
by the Commission on May 24, 2006; and
WHEREAS, Paul E. Allen Company, Inc. is the current distributor and sole provider
of DuMor products and the sole provider of the benches and containers listed above; and
WHEREAS, the State of Texas Local Government Code, Chapter 252, Subchapter
B, Section 252.022 (a)(7)(A) provides an exemption to the competitive bidding
requirements for items that are available from only one source.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the above preamble are true and correct and
are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to purchase the
containers for a total amount not to exceed $19,404.00.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 7th day of November, 2006.
