Staff evaluated the different options available on Buyboard. Staff selected the pieces
from PlayWorld for several reasons. The selected structures fit within the existing
designated play areas, saving the City money so it does not have to redo the concrete
border. The selected structures represent the latest design in playground structures.
These designs encourage fitness /exercise for the children. The also City has similar
types of equipment in the Park system manufactured by PlayWorld.
Staff recommends approval of the purchase of the playground equipment through an
existing Interlocal Agreement with the Local Government Purchasing Cooperative
(Buyboard.com) from Playwell Group, in a total amount not to exceed $163,069.05.
