Ms. Martinez:
On February 24, 2009, a permit was issued for a 7 x 9 storage building at the
above reference address. To date the work has not received a final inspection.
On 6/29/2010 an inspection was attempted, a red tag would have been left
stating that the storage building was not in the approved location. The structure is
sifting in a utility easement. On 7/6/2010 a second inspection was turned down
for the same thing. On 2/8/13 an inspector went out to see if the work had been
repaired so we could close out this permit. It appears that the structure is still in
the easement. Please be advised that the ordinance adopted by the City of
Grapevine requires all work requiring a permit to be inspected.
Equipment installation or construction work that does not comply with codes and
ordinances can cause damage, injury, and death. Our inspectors look closely to
ensure that all codes are met and the installation is safe to the best of their
knowledge. Until such time as we issue an inspection approval for your work, we
cannot confirm that there are no safety violations.
Should you refuse to allow inspection as required by city ordinance, this refusal
will be documented and placed in the permanent records for your property.
