SUBJECT: APPROVAL TO EXTEND THE INTERMEDIX TECHNOLOGIES,
INC., EXISTING EMS BILLING CONTRACT
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to consider approval to extend the City's current contract terms with
Intermedix Technologies, Inc. through December 31, 2013.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Funding for the cost of this professional service is in account 100 - 44540 - 210 -1.
BACKGROUND:
Intermedix Technologies, Inc., has been the City's EMS billing services provider since
2006. The City of Grapevine entered into the existing EMS billing services contract with
Intermedix Technologies, Inc., in June 2009 and the current contract will expire July 31,
2013. Intermedix has signed the intent to extend the current contract terms through
December 31, 2013 and this extension will allow staff additional time to research new
technologies and EMS software that can integrate medical and billing information among
the emergency service providers.
Fire and Administrative Services staff recommend approval.
