FINAL COST PARTICIPATION
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council consider approving Final Cost Participation with HERITAGE COVE, LLC for
the construction of an 8" Waterline along Roberts Road, in the amount of $58,605.00,
authorize the City Manager to execute the necessary documents and take any
necessary action.

Heritage Cove Addition is a 23 lot residential development located on the west side of
Roberts Road.
City Council and Heritage Cove, LLC entered into a Developer Cost Participation
Contract on March 5, 2013 with a City estimated cost participation of $47,760.00 for the
construction of 750' of 8" PVC water main, with connections.
The southern connection of the new 8" line at Birch Lane had some added costs above
the initial estimate. The existing lines in the area were constructed 20 to 25 years ago
and were not as reflected in the construction plans and record drawings for the area. As
the contractor proceeded south to this intersection, he discovered that the 6" line to the
east was not connected as originally identified in old construction plans and that the line
would need to be connected in a different manner to provide a looped connection.
The added construction efforts needed to perform the revised connection in the roadway
at the intersection of Roberts Road and Birch Lane totaled $10,845.00 in additional
costs.
Staff recommends approval.
