A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE
NOVEMBER 7, 2006 4B SALES AND USE TAX ELECTION
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas, a Home Rule Municipality, located in
Tarrant, Dallas and Denton Counties, Texas; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes Art. 5190.6, the City of
Grapevine duly called an election on November 7, 2006, for the purpose of presenting
to the voters a proposition to increase the sales and use tax as permitted and for such
purposes as prescribed under such statute; and
WHEREAS, the Proposition was stated on the ballot as shown in Exhibit "A";
and,
WHEREAS, the Tarrant County Election Judge certified the following election
results:

FOR: 3694 4365 8059
AGAINST: 1225 1674 2899
TOTALS: 4919 6039 10958
WHEREAS, the results of the 4B election, as canvassed and tabulated above,
that said election was conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Texas
Election code and that the proposition passed by a vote of 8059 to 2899.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That said election was duly called; that notice of said election was
duly published, and that said election was conducted in accordance with the provisions
of the Texas Election code and that the proposition passed by a vote of 8059 to 2899.
Section 2. That this resolution shall become effective from and after the date
of its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 15th day November, 2006.

The adoption of a Section 4B Sales and Use Tax
within the City of Grapevine, Texas at the rate of one-
half of one percent to undertake projects as described
FOR in Section 4B of Article 5190.6, V.T.C.S., as amended
(the Development Corporation Act of 1979), including
but not limited to projects for the promotion of
professional and amateur (including children's)
athletics and sports including stadiums, ball parks,
auditoriums, projects related to entertainment,
convention, tourist and exhibition facilities,
amphitheaters, concert halls and public parks, park
AGAINST facilities and events, open space improvements,
learning centers, educational facilities and facilities for
use by institutions of higher education, museums and
related stores, restaurant, concession and automobile
parking facilities and related roads, streets and water
and sewer facilities, recycling facilities and projects to
promote new or expanded business enterprises,
transportation and mass commuting projects and
facilities, job training facilities and public safety
facilities, streets and roads, drainage and related
improvements, demolition of existing structures and
general improvements that are municipally owned and
any other improvements or facilities that are related to
any of the above projects and any other project that
the Board of Directors of the Economic Development
Corporation established for such purpose determines
will promote new or expanded business enterprises
and the maintenance and operations expenses for
any of the above-described projects.
