SUBJECT: RENEWAL OF AN ANNUAL CONTRACT FOR PRE -EMPLOYMENT
BACKGROUND SCREENINGS
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider approval for the renewal of an annual contract for
pre -employment background screenings with Touch Them All, Inc. for the
Human Resources Department.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in the General Fund (Human Resources Department)
for an annual estimated amount of $25,000.
BACKGROUND: The purpose of this contract is to establish fixed annual pricing for pre-
employment background screenings.
Purchases will be made in accordance with an existing interlocal
cooperative agreement with the City of Grand Prairie, Texas as allowed by
Texas Local Government Code, Section 271 and Texas Government
Code, Section 791.
The City of Grand Prairie, Texas solicited proposals for Pre -Employment
Background Screenings and awarded a contract. The contract was for an
initial one-year period with four, one-year renewals. If approved, this will
be for the third renewal available.
Staff recommends approval.
