HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIB1992-0002MEMO TO: Tommy Hardy FROM: Greg Wheeler G,! DATE: February 26, 1992 SUBJECT: MOVING BUILDING INTO CITY FOR GRAPEVINE PERMIT NO. 92-02 Jim VanTreese inspected the accessory building that Greg Dunn would like to place on his property at 317 East Worth Street. Jim submitted the following on February 24, 1992: 1. Transportation of the building has damaged the flooring. The flooring has suffered several holes having been worn through or punched through from movement in transportation or lifting devices. It is on a trailer at Mr. Dunn's property. 2. The 2 X 4 floor joists have been rolled over onto their flat sides. 3. The building has an electrical service panel and wiring which would be required to meet code or be removed. 4. The building needs to be painted. 5. The lumber and siding show no severe deterioration. RECOMMENDATION: I would recommend annroval of this permit to the City Council with the understanding the items listed above are corrected. BACKGROUND:+, Mr. Dunn has the opportunity to acquire this building, but had to remove it from its original location by a certain date or the building would have be demolished. Mr. Dunn has a full understanding of the ordinance for moving buildings into the City. Mr. Dunn had the building loaded onto his trailer and is currently stored on his property at 317 East Worth Street in Grapevine.
