A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, MAKING FINDINGS OF CERTAIN FACTS RELATIVE TO THE PURCHASE OF ANTIQUE STREET LAMPS; DETERMINING THAT THE STREET LAMPS ARE AVAILABLE FROM ONLY ONE SOURCE AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACTS AND DOCUMENTS AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine desires to purchase 18 antique street lamps for installation on Nash Street, Dallas Road and Main Street; and WHEREAS, The Lighting Alliance is the local representative and sole provider for the street lamps selected. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS: Section 1. That all matters stated in the above preamble are true and correct and are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety. Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine authorizes City Staff to purchase the street lamps for a total annual amount not to exceed $45,000.00. Section 3. That the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to take all steps necessary to complete the purchase. Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its passage. The American Series brand is one of Oncor's (formerly TXU Electric Delivery) utility street light standards and is the match for your existing Main Street. These products are made from cast iron materials and are supplied with a factory powder coat paint finish ANDG (dark green). ANTIQUE Street Lamps is a single source vendor with no competitors in a direct sale agreement. The Lighting Alliance is the local representative for Antique Street Lamps and can assist you in the ordering/bid material procurement process.
