The system was approved for purchase during the budget process for this fiscal year.
Staff recommends approval of the purchase from The Harding Group under the
General Services Administration Federal Supply Schedule for a total amount not to
exceed $25,080.00.

RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, MAKING FINDINGS OF CERTAIN
FACTS RELATIVE TO THE PURCHASE OF A SAN
NETWORK INCLUDING HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE;
DETERMINING THAT THE NETWORK IS AVAILABLE
UNDER THE GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION
FEDERAL SUPPLY SCHEDULE AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACTS AND
DOCUMENTS AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine desires to purchase the following hardware from
The Harding Group under the United States General Services Administration Federal
Supply Schedule as follows:
2 Each Lefthand Networks NSM 160-2000-A $23,900.00
1 Each Support for one Year $ Included
1 Each NSM Installation & Shipping $ 1,180.00
Total .................................................... $25,080.00
WHEREAS, The Harding Group is an authorized GSA reseller under the current
GSA Federal Supply Schedule.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the above preamble are true and correct and
are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine authorizes the purchase
of the SAN network hardware and software as listed above for a total not to exceed
$25,080.00.
Section 3. That the City Manger, or his designee, is authorized to take all steps
necessary to consummate the purchase of said maintenance agreement.
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 16th day of October, 2007.
