Mr. Sprague holds strongly to the belief that taxes should be held at a minimum, and that property taxes in particular must not go up "just -because" or "to catch-up with inflation." Main Street Grapevine, TX 76051 Dear Mayor Tate: My name is Dwayne Gentsch and you may recall seeing the attached letter that recently went out to your city on my behalf from the City of Garland, which nominated me to serve on the Board of Directors of the Dallas Central Appraisal District. The Board of Directors is made up of five members, one of which represents all thirty cities served by the Appraisal District. While there are several individuals seeking this position, l believe my previous experience as a Garland city council member, my understanding of the appraisal process; and my pledge to be more than a representative in name only is what sets me apart from the other candidates. As your representative, I will file regular briefs back to Grapevine and the other city/town councils this position represents regarding the activities of the Appraisal District. I will also be available to address any appraisal -related matters where my assistance is needed and warranted. Your city should have received a ballot from the Dallas Central Appraisal District, who has requested action, via an official resolution, by December 15, 2007. 1 hope to have your support in this important, albeit not very visible, position and look forward to having the opportunity to be your voice on the Dallas Central Appraisal District's Board of Directors. I will be making every effort to visit with members of your council prior to any action taken on this item.
