BACKGROUND INFORMATION Originally approved by Council at the January 5, 1999 public hearing (CU98-69), the Park Place Lexus dealership has had a number of subsequent amendments to the site layout such as an expansion to the dealership (CU99-33; July 6, 1999) and an expansion to the sales and service areas (CU04-22; July 20, 2004). At Council's May 17, 2005 meeting (CU05-25) the site was further expanded in size by approximately 4.95 acres for inventory storage. The Site Plan Review Committee at their August 24, 2005 meeting (CU05-40) approved a request to replace an existing 22 -foot pole sign along the S.H. 114 service road with a pole sign measuring 36 -feet in height. With this request the applicant intends to add to the dealership a 6,955 square foot make ready building at the northwest corner of the site. This building will be used to clean and service new and used vehicles prior to display for sale.
