SUBJECT: BUILDING APPRAISAL SERVICES CONTRACT
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider contract with Kroll, LLC for building appraisals
services.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in the General Fund for an estimated amount of
$50,000.
BACKGROUND: The City of Grapevine fully insures all of its buildings and personal
property. The buildings were last appraised eight years ago.
This procurement will be made in accordance with Local Government
Code Chapter 252, Subchapter B, § 252.022. General Exemptions (a) (4),
professional services.
The City's insurance broker, Hub International Insurance Services (HUB)
solicited multiple vendors for property insurance appraisals. Kroll offers
the best service and an electronic database of the completed appraisals.
Kroll will inspect and appraise all City buildings greater than $50,000 in
replacement value. City staff reviewed the proposals and selected Kroll to
perform the appraisals. This is for a one-year contract.
Staff recommends approval.
