1. Call to Order of Regular Meeting — Dr. Curtis Ratliff
2. Citizen Comments
Any person who is not scheduled on the agenda may address the Grapevine Heritage
Foundation Board under Citizen Comments or on any other agenda item by completing a Citizen
Appearance Request form with staff. A member of the public may address the Board regarding
an item on the agenda either before or during the Board's consideration of the item, upon being
recognized by Chairman Ratliff or upon the consent of the Board. In accordance with the Texas
Open Meetings Act, the Board is restricted in discussing or taking action during Citizen
Comments.

The next meeting of the Grapevine Heritage Foundation Advisory Board will be held on
Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 5:00 pm at the Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau,
2"d Floor Grand Hall, 636 South Main Street, Grapevine, Texas. If you plan to attend this public
meeting and have a disability requiring special arrangements, please contact the Office of Historic
Preservation at 817-410-3185 at least 24 hours in advance. Reasonable accommodations will be
made to assist your needs.
In accordance with Texas Government Code, Chapter 551.001 et seq. Acts of the 1993 Texas

The Grapevine Heritage Foundation (GHF) held their regular scheduled monthly meeting at 5:00 p.m.
on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 in the 2nd Floor Grand Hall of the Grapevine Convention & Visitors
Bureau, 636 South Main Street, Grapevine, Texas 76051.

1. CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Ratliff called the meeting to order at 5:07 p.m. welcoming all.
2. CITIZEN COMMENTS
There were no citizen comments registered.
Any person who is not scheduled on the agenda may address the Grapevine Heritage Foundation under
Citizen Comments by completing a Citizen Appearance Request form. In accordance with the Texas Open
Meetings Act, the Advisory Board is restricted in discussing or taking action during Citizen Comments.
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Melva Stanfield made the motion to accept the minutes as written from the March 17, 2021 regular
meeting. Janet Perkins seconded the motion, which prevailed in the following vote:
Ayes: 5 (Ratliff, Stanfield, Jensen, Nelson and Perkins)
Nays: 0 None
Absent: 4 (Wright, Franks, Fray and Hummer)

4. OLD BUSINESS
Membership Report - Janet Perkins
Secretary Perkins announced total memberships to date were at 193 active with $1,300 received in
March with $300 received in `naming rights' for the five Iambs.
Sponsorship Report — Balla Wright
Farm Manager Cody Jolliff reported for Treasurer Balla Wright, sponsorship totals were now at
$18,500 of the $20,000 goal for 2021 with annual

Nash Farm Report —Vice Chairman Melva Stanfield
Vice Chairman Melva Stanfield reported there were 2,330 visitors to Nash Farm in March. The April
First Friday attendance for the "Easter Egg Roll on the East Lawn" was 400 people. The April 17,
2021 19th Annual Spring Into Nash had a great turnout with an estimated 500 attending.
5. NEW BUSINESS
Grapevine Heritage Foundation 2021 — 22 Budget- David Klempin
David Klempin announced the Convention and Visitors Bureau directive was to reduce the 2021
budget for a 10 percent savings. Discussion followed for how to make up this loss of funds. Last
year's budget was reduced 21 percent, and this would be another10 percent beyond last year's
reduction.
Nash Farm 2021 Events
Cody Jollliff said due to popular demand there would be a Nash Farm Spring Supper: A Farm to Fork
Experience on Friday evening, April 23, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. The guest culinary historian would be
Marna Jean Davis from Hitchcock, Oklahoma would be serving the flavor of farm -fresh 19th century
cuisine and the main course of Tallgrass Longhorn Meat Co. with their jerky now available in the
Farm Store. Saturday, May 1, 2021 will be the Nash Farm Annual Baseball Game with baseball
cards to be signed by the players.
The Summer Passports will be sold at Main Street Fest, with the museums open on Friday, Saturday
and Sundays. Planning has started for the Fall event to have cooking stations set up with roasted
corn and Iamb kabobs. Chairman Ratliff called for any questions; there were none.

DISTRIBUTION OF LIAISON REPORTS
City Council Liaison Update — Council Member Duff O'Dell
Council Liaison O'Dell said Saturday (Spring Into Nash) was a great day for showing off Grapevine
and attendance was great across the City with the occupancy rates rising.
Chairman Ratliff asked for more information on the park Council passed to be located at Panhandle
and Dove. Council Liaison O'Dell reminded all of the Mayor's committed goal for all citizens to have a
park within a 10-minute walk of their home; and this is our 215t park. We are now getting ahead doing
the work in-house; and this has been great to get kids out of the street where there are no sidewalks.
Grapevine Parks & Rec's new The Vine Arts & Events Center has expanded parking in that area.

Melva Stanfield, seconded by Janet Perkins, made the motion to adjourn the meeting at 5:55 p.m.
The motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: 5 (Ratliff, Stanfield, Jensen, Nelson and Perkins)
Nays: 0 None
Absent: 4 (Wright, Franks, Fray and Hummer)
