AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS AMENDING THE GRAPEVINE CODE
OF ORDINANCES, CHAPTER 20 STREETS, SIDEWALKS
AND OTHER PUBLIC WAYS, SECTION 20-7 RELATIVE TO
STREET NAME CHANGES; PROVIDING FOR THE NAME
CHANGE OF A CERTAIN STREET; PROVIDING A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, developers have begun to construct segments of the four lane divided
roadway reflected on the City's Thoroughfare Plan between the Dove Road / Dove Loop
Road intersection and Ruth Wall Street; and
WHEREAS, no specific name has ever been established for this roadway; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to designate this roadway with a consistent name
throughout its length.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all of the above premises are found to be true and correct and
are incorporated into the body of this ordinance as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That Chapter 20, Section 20-7 Street Name Changes of the
Grapevine Code of Ordinances is hereby amended by the addition of the following street
name changes:
"Peach Street from North Dooley Street to Boyd Drive is hereby designated and
shall hereafter be known as Dove Loop Road.
The new four lane divided roadway extending from North Main Street to North
Dooley Street, bordering Silverlake Addition on the north, and continuing west on
the City of Grapevine's Thoroughfare Plan extending across City property and
Corps of Engineers property to the Dove Road / Dove Loop Road intersection on
the west end is hereby designated and shall hereafter be known as Dove Loop
Road.
The future four lane divided roadway extending from Boyd Drive to Ruth Wall
Street, on the City of Grapevine's Thoroughfare Plan is hereby designated and
shall hereafter be known as Dove Loop Road."
Section 3. All provisions of Section 20-7 not specifically amended herein shall
remain in full force and effect and shall not be amended by the adoption of this ordinance.
Section 4. If any section, article, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase, or word
in this ordinance, or application thereto any person or circumstance is held invalid or
unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance; and the City Council hereby declares
it would have passed such remaining portions of the ordinance in spite of such invalidity,
which remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 5. The fact that the present ordinances and regulations of the City of
Grapevine, Texas are inadequate to properly safeguard the health, safety, morals, peace
and general welfare of the public creates an emergency which requires that this ordinance
become effective from and after the date of its passage, and it is accordingly so ordained.

A portion of a 7.5 foot wide utility easement across the east side of Lot 13R, Block 1,
WESTOVER ADDITION, PHASE II, City of Grapevine, according to map or plat thereof
recorded in Cabinet A. Slide 1166, of the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas being
described by metes and bounds as follows:
COMMENCING at a 1/2 inch steel rod for the northeast corner of said Lot 13R, Block 1;
THENCE along the north line of said Lot 13R, South 89 degrees 58 minutes 05
seconds West, 5.02 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING:
THENCE South 05 degrees 42 minutes 26 seconds West, parallel to the East line of of
said Lot 13R, 70.35 feet to a point;
THENCE South 89.degrees 58 minutes 05 seconds West, 2.51 feet to a point:
THENCE North 05 minutes 42 minutes 26 seconds East, 70.35 feet to a point on the
north line of of said Lot 13R;
THENCE North 89 degrees 58 minutes 05 seconds East, along the north line of said
Lot 13R, 2.51 feet to the point of beginning and containing 175.9 square feet.
