The City of Grapevine Parks and Recreation Board met Thursday, August 19, 1994
at 7:02 p.m. at the Senior Citizen's Center, 421 North Church Street, Grapevine,
Texas with the following members present, to -wit:

Heidi Baddaker
Donald Florence, Jr.
Lisa Haines
Marion Brekken
Roland Johnson
Roy Robertson
Craig Neill
Linda Dobbs Willis
John Fox
Doug McKelvey
Shane Wilbanks
Absent:
Robert Brunson
Larry Atchley
The following City Staff were present:
Joe Moore Kelly Allensworth
Stella Gardiner Scott Hardeman
The meeting was called to order at 7:02 p.m. by Denise Gasmire.
Motion was made by Denise Gasmire and seconded by Roland Johnson to approve the
minutes of the July 14, 1994 Parks and Recreation Board minutes.
Motion was passed unanimously.
Craig Neill arrived at 7:04 p.m.
Citizen Requests
Observations were made of the in-line skating success.
Discussion Items
Phillip Neeley of Carter & Burgess gave an update on the Master Plan Process.
Recommendations for Agency Action Plan were handed out.
Doug Evans and Shane Wilbanks presented an overview of Bond issues.
Roland Johnson and Craig Neill will report back at the next Park Board meeting on
Bond Committe recommendations.
There will be a Parks & Recreation Booth at GrapeFest. Joe Moore will set it up and
Doug Evans will take it down. A training meeting will be held Thursday, September
8 at 7:00 p.m. at the Senior Center, 421 Church Street. Representatives are needed,
as well as a cheat sheet of projects and new programs.
A Park Tour is set for September 15 at 6:00 p.m. Check to see if Robert Brunson will
be going and set up with G.C.I.S.D. if so.
Reports
Kelly Allensworth gave a report on Recreation and Parks Maintenance; there was no
comment.
On Youth Activities Denise Gasmire reported on the resolution was approved at the
last meeting. Monies or targeted programs are being addressed by Police and
G.C.I.S.D. in other ways, therefore, resolution did not move forward.
Joe Moore gave a report on Bear Creek Park and Austin Oaks Park. It was sent to all
Homeowners Associations.
Roy Robertson made a motion to adjourn and John Fox seconded. Time 9:02 p.m.
Motion passed 9-0.
