Discussion regarding participation in a Texas Department of Transportation TEA -21 grant for a trail project in North Grapevine E. Consider an Adopt -A -Road agreement with the Vinz Family for a section of Pool Road VII. DIREC OF PARKS & RECREATION CITY OF ORAPEVlNE COUNTY OF TARRANT STATE OF TEXAS The City of Grapevine Parks and Recreation Board met Thursday, April 12, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at the Senior Activities Center, 421 Church Street, Grapevine, Texas with the following members present, to wit: Hayden Smith Roy Robertson Larry Francis Ryan Wade Stan Hinson David Benedetto Absent: Julie Florence Art Pierce Barbara Johnson Staff: Doug Evans Joe Moore Vice Chair Hayden Smith called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. A motion was made by Larry Francis and seconded by Ryan Wade to approve the minutes as written of the February 15, 2001 meeting. The motion passed unanimously. Old Business Earthworks 2001 was discussed. New Business There was discussion regarding participation in Main Street Days. A motion was made by Larry Francis and seconded by Ryan Wade to locate the Parks and Recreation booth on the east side of Main. The motion passed unanimously. Doug Evans explained the budget process and discussed the priorities with the Board. A motion was made by Stan Hinson and seconded by Roy Robertson to renew the Adopt - A -Road agreement with Wagon Wheel Ranch for Ruth Wall Road. The motion passed unanimously. A motion was made by Roy Robertson and seconded by Ryan Wade to participate in a Texas Dept. of Transportation TEA -21 grant for a trail project in North Grapevine. The motion passed unanimously. A motion was made by Ryan Wade and seconded by Stan Hinson to approve an Adopt -A - Road agreement with the Vinz Family for a section of Pool Road. The motion passed unanimously. Miscellaneous Staff Reports The Board was given an update on the following projects. • Status of Trail Projects • Botanical Gardens at Heritage Park • Parking Lot Improvements at Parr Park • Recreation Events • Meadowmere Park Development • Landscaping Projects A motion was made by Ryan Wade and seconded by Larry Francis to adjourn.
