This purchase is to replace the current Self Contained Breathing Apparatuses that are
12 years old and outdated. The Fire Department recently received approval to replace
the equipment during the current fiscal budget year. The Department established a
committee that tested and evaluated different brands of equipment for several weeks.
The committee's conclusion was that the MSA brand of SCBA was the best value to the
City due to maintenance and technology quality.
Bids were taken by the Cooperative and a contract was awarded to Casco Industries

The Interlocal Agreement and Cooperative Purchasing Agreement satisfy all bidding
