HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 15 - Office FurnitureMEMO TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL FROM: BRUNO RUMBELOW, CITY MANAGER MEETING DATE: JULY 5, 2022 SUBJECT: APPROVAL FOR A CONTRACT FOR OFFICE FURNITURE AND WORKSTATIONS RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider approval of a contract for the purchase of office furniture and workstations from Vari Sales Corporation. FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in the General Fund (Facility Services) for an annual estimated amount of $55,000. BACKGROUND: The purpose of this contract is to establish fixed pricing for office furniture and workstations across City facilities. This purchase will be made in accordance with existing and interlocal agreements with Omnia Partners Public Sector, Region VIII Education Service Center in Texas as allowed by Texas Local Government Code, Section 271 and Texas Government Code, Section 791. The contract is for a one-year period. Bids were taken by the Cooperative and a contract was awarded Vari Sales Corporation. The Public Works and Purchasing staff reviewed the contract for departmental specification compliance and pricing and determined that the contract would provide the best service and pricing for meeting the needs of the City.
