SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF AWARD OF BID 251-2006 TO PURCHASE
GOLF CARTS FOR THE MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to consider award of bid 251-2006 to EZGo, Inc...., for 98 golf carts for the
Municipal Golf Course and one courtesy cart for the Vineyards Campground. The total of
this award will not exceed $133,400.00.
FUNDING SOURCE:
The budgeted amount and fund for the Municipal Golf Course purchase was:

BACKGROUND:
Bids were taken in accordance with Local Government Code Chapter 252, Subchapter B,
Section 252.021 (a) and Section 252.041 (a). The bid advertisement posted in the Fort
Worth Star Telegram on February 2, 2006 and February 9 2006.
This request is to approve the purchase of ninety-four electric golf carts,, two gas golf
carts and one 6-passenger courtesy cart for the Municipal Golf Course and one 4-
passenger courtesy cart for the Vineyards Campground. The bid included trade-in
vehicles for each of the 98 carts. The municipal golf course carts were approved for
purchase during this fiscal year.
Bids were issued to four vendors and publicly opened on March 3, 2006. Three vendors
responded to the invitation. The lowest bid received that met all of the bid requirements
and specifications was from EZGo, ;Inc,
The requesting departments have reviewed the bids submitted and have recommended
that the low bid be accepted. Staff recommends an award to EZGo, Inc. in the total
amount of$133,400,00.
