Bruno,
I understand that the issue of the median improvements is finally coming to a vote before the city counsel. I cannot be
there on Tuesday, so I was hoping you could convey my thoughts on the matter.
We had hoped that the completion of the DFW connector project would have alleviated the traffic issues In front of our
store, but for the past five years we've witnessed countless accidents as people tried to turn across two lanes of traffic
allowing them to cross, only to discover a third lane of free flowing traffic in the turning lane just beyond. The problem
seems especially bad around the holidays. One December, not long ago, we counted a record twelve accidents in one
month.
We fully support an improved median that would prevent people from making risky turns across traffic. We believe the
plan at question does just that.
We're fully aware that changes to the turning lanes will have a large impact on our customers, employees, and delivery
drivers, but we believe the benefits of public safety far outweigh the inconvenience.
Sincerely,
T. Bently Durantz
