the following uses may be considered only if sound treatment is included in building design:
multi family apartments, motels, office buildings, movie theaters, restaurants, personal and

RE: Grapevine Lodging Partners dba Springhill Suites by Marriott
Mr. Stombaugh,
The Springhill Suites Grapevine, located at 2240 Grapevine Mills Circle West, respectfully
requests a Conditional Use Permit from the City of Grapevine to permit the sale of alcoholic
beverages at the hotel. Recent corporate changes by Marriott are requiring their Springhill Marriott
franchisees to offer this service for their guests. Granting of the Conditional Use Pen -nit would
allow the hotel to offer guests and other users of the hotel an opportunity to enjoy an alcoholic
beverage in a relaxing and quiet environment within the hotel's Great Room and Board Room as
shown on the accompanying architectural plans for the first floor.
The Springhill hotel has a market that is open 24/7 offering food, drinks, and small amenities one
may have forgotten to pack. Our goal once the liquor license is approved is to provide the items
mandated by Marriott and increase our food items in the market. We fully expect to be able to
comply with the 50/50 rule. We do offer Monday — Thursday from 6:00 pm — 7:30 pm a social
hour to our guest where snacks, beer and wine are served as complimentary to hotel guests.
Thank you for reviewing our application.
Kindest regards,
Kimberly A. Bryant

RE: GRAPEVINE FILE # CU15-21
To Whom It May Concern,
This letter is to verify that your request for property located at 2240 West Grapevine Mills Circle

previously approved site plan for a planned commercial center in excess of 1,000,000 square feet
of gross leasable area, specifically to allow for the possession, storage, retail sales and on -premise
consumption of alcoholic beverages (beer, wine and mixed beverages) in conjunction with an
existing hotel was approved by the City Council on July 21, 2015. A copy of the approved site plan
and ordinance are enclosed.
On July 21, 2015, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended the City Council approve
the request as stated above.
Any changes to a site plan approved with a conditional use or a special use (no matter how
minor or major) can only be approved by city council through the public hearing process.
No Conditional Use Permit shall be valid for a period longer than one (1) year from the date on
which the City Council grants the Conditional Use, unless within such one (1) year period: (1) a
Building Permit is obtained and the erection or alteration of a structure is started, or (2) an
Occupancy Permit is obtained and a use commenced.
The City Council may grant one additional extension not exceeding one (1) year, upon written
application, without notice or hearing. No additional extension shall be granted without complying
with the notice and hearing requirements for an initial application for a Conditional Use Permit.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if we may be of further assistance (817)410-3155.
Sincerely,
r
