Re: Swimming Pool Permit 20-3618, 1042 S Riverside Dr.
Dear Property Owner or Current Resident:
On July 3, 2019, a permit was issued to construct an In-Ground Swimming Pool
at the above reference address. The permit was issued to Watercrest Pools, Inc.
To date the work has still not had final inspections completed. Please be advised
that the ordinance adopted by the City of Grapevine requires all work requiring a
permit to be inspected.
Equipment installation or construction work that does not comply with codes and
ordinances can cause damage, injury, and death. Our inspectors look closely to
ensure that all codes are met and the installation is safe to the best of their
knowledge. Until such time as we issue an inspection approval for your work, we
cannot confirm that there are no safety violations.
We have tried contacting the contractor to schedule a final inspection at this
address. However, to date we have not been able to do so. We have made
various attempts as well as revoking his contractor’s registration. We are writing
to you in hopes that you will allow the inspector to come out and see if we can
get this finaled out.

Friday.

Mr. Tryggestad,
The purpose of this letter is for you to accept all liability for the swimming pool not having a
perimeter fence. The City of Grapevine requires a final inspection for your pool project which
includes the following: minimum 4 foot high fence enclosure with self-closing and self-
latching gates. The pool must have a perimeter fence in order to comply with the city
requirements. Since you have failed to comply with this requirement, the liability will be your
responsibility as the homeowner. Watercrest Pools Inc. will not be liable for your
noncompliance.
Please sign the attached acknowledgement and have this page notarized. Return this original
form to Watercrest Pools Inc. for submission to the City of Grapevine.
