As part of their business model, they are requesting approval of a Conditional Use Application for beer sales, outdoor seating, and exterior speakers. They will be located at 1501 William D Tate, which is currently an empty building. The previous use was a Boston Market. Freebirds has a loyal following of customers. They are expanding into new markets to reach old and new Freebirds fans. This location, in already commercially viable area, is sure to be a success. Freebirds is considered a destination restaurant, and the outdoor seating reinforces that idea. It often becomes a place for long lunches, and where friends meet to catch up. In an area of Grapevine dominated by cars and airplanes, the outdoor seating area will add a bit of human life to the exterior environment. Although beer sales make up only a small part of Freebirds sales, they would like to give their customers the option of enjoying such beverages with their meals.
