June 8, 2022 Chicken N Pickle 104 Armour Road North Kansas City, MO 64116 Attention: Mr. Alex Stehl Re: Field Inspection of Structural Steel Chicken N Pickle Grapevine Grapevine, Texas ALPHA Report No. F211334-1058298 Alpha Testing arrived on site to perform a Visual Structural Steel Inspection for the above referenced project. Results of the inspection are as follows: I Column Anchor Bolt Connections – lines A to J & 1 to 7 – sheet SR1.1 A The column anchor bolt connections at the brace frames were inspected per sheet SR1.1 and detail 11/SR4.5. The (3”x3”x3/8”) plate washer were not installed as required. Reference NOTE (2) on detail 11/SR4.5. B Other than noted above – column anchor bolt connections were completed per detail and properly tensioned. Reference detail 01/SP3.1. II 2” 20-gauge Composite Decking & Nelson Studs- 2nd Floor Framing – lines A to E & 1 to 5 – sheet SR2.1 A The fastening of the decking was inspected per the CSC deck schedule on sheet DE2.2. The decking was fastened to the steel supports with 5/8” puddle welds on a 36/4 pattern. Perimeter areas were fastened with 5/8” puddle welds on 6” centers. Side laps were fastened at (2) locations between the spans as per plan. B Nelson studs were inspected per sheet SR2.1. Stud counts appear to be correct. Several stud failed inspection due to lack of fusion. Discrepancies were addressed during the inspection. Failed studs were re-welded and found to be acceptable. NOTE (1): Bolting and welding operations on the 2nd floor framing were incomplete at time of inspection. Work was in progress. NOTE (2) A preliminary visual inspection of the brace frame base connections welds on the 2nd floor was conducted. Connections may be covered over during concrete pour. Base connections on the 2nd floor brace frames were welded out as per detail. Welds were visually acceptable.
