Pro duct preparation If necessar y, the pr oduct should be br o ught to r oom temperatur e; e.g. by immer s ion in war m water (max temp up to 86°F (+30°C)), o r by allowing the pr oduct to warm to r oom temperatur e f o r at least 24 hour s . Gun temper ature cannot be lower than the can temperatur e. Use protective gloves, mask and glasses. S hake the can vigo rou sly for 30-45 seconds. Remove the protective cap, invert the can and scr ew the can f ir mly onto the dispensing gun using the plas tic collar and do no t o vertigh ten. Maintain the can in an upside-down, inver ted position du ring the application. Adjust the control kno b on the gun h andle to achieve the desir ed applicatio n flow. Point the gun into a trash can and slowly pull the trigger to test dispensing f low r ate until desired bead size is deter mined. Applicatio n Always dis pense the product with the can inver ted, valve down. W hile applying the fo am, maintain a consistent pu lling motio n with the gun tip leading the direction the foam will be applied. Ver tical gaps should be filled with the foam starting at the botto m and moving up. Do not f ill the entir e gap, the foam will increase in volume. S ealing gaps gr eater than 3.01 inches (7.65 cm) is not recommended. Gaps wider than 1.18 inch es and less than 3.01 inches should be filled fr om th e botto m to the to p, in a zigzag pattern. If the application o f the foam is delayed for mor e th an 5 minutes, clean the applicator tip with TYTAN Foam Cleaner and vigor ously s hake the can prior to r esuming application. Upon f inis hing the application, tighten the co ntrol knob, clean the gun tip with T Y T AN Fo am Cleaner, leave the gun attached and stor e the can in an upr ight po sition. 3/6 Works after co mpletion of applicatio n Cur ed foam will be damaged when exposed to UV rays. Pr otect cur ed foam by co vering or painting. After completion o f wor k, the gun sho uld be thor oughly cleaned using T YTAN Foam Cleaner. W hen the can is empty, tighten the contr o l knob, unscrew the can from the gun and spray the tip and basket of the gu n with TYTAN Foam Cleaner . T hen scr ew o n the can o f T Y T AN Foam Cleaner, open the contr ol knob and squeeze the tr igger u ntil clear foam cleaner so lution is f lowing o ut of the gun. Tighten the contr ol knob to ensu re no air will enter the barr el of th e gun and unscr ew the fo am cleaner fr o m the gun. Remar ks / r estrictio n Doors and W indo ws should be connected to str u ctur al framing acco rding to the manufactur er 's recommendations. Use of this pr oduct does no t redu ce th e r equirement of mech anical f astener s specified by window and door manufacturers. W ater , Gas and Electr ical Piping s hould always be properly secur ed to needed substrate with r egulator y mechanical fas tener s per building code. Fire Block foam sealant is safe for sealing and insulating on and arou nd all PVC, metal and plastics water , gas and electrical piping. Always leave th e can on the gun until a new can is needed to continu e or start a new application. Th e can shou ld o nly be r emo ved when empty and a new can is needed to complete the same job. Ensur e the contr ol knob is tigh tened when th e pr oduct is not in use. Air entering the bar r el of the gun for more than 2-3 minutes will decr ease the efficiency and life of your gun. The cu ring of the pro duct is dependent on temper ature and humidity. A significant decr ease in temperatur e with in 24 hour s of application can affect the pr oduct's properties and adhesion. Use o pened produ ct within seven days. The pro duct will not adhere to polyethylene, po lypr opylene, po lyamide, silico ne and T eflon. Quality and condition o f the gun can impact th e per formance of the foam product. Uncured foam can be r emo ved with TYTAN Foam Cleaner . Har dened foam may be r emoved mechanically (e.g. with a knif e). For the safety of th e installer , always ensur e access to adequate ventilation dur ing the application of polyurethane foams. 4/6 REM ARKS / RESTRICTION All par ameter s are based o n tests compliant with manufactur er's inter nal standar ds and ar e high ly dependent on envir onmental conditions during application and cur ing o f the foam (ambient and sur face temper atures, condition o f applicator and the skill of the installer). Initial tr imming of foam is based on th e Cut time specified per pr oduct. If the Cut time is not specified, tr imming is only to be attempted after the foam is f ully cur ed. The manufactur er uses test methods appr o ved by FEICA, designed to deliver transparent and r epr o ducible test results and to ensu re that customers have an accur ate repr esentation of pr oduct per fo rmance. FEICA OCF test methods ar e available at: http://www.feica.co m (Ou r industr y -> PU Foam (O CF) -> OCF Test Methods). FEICA is a multinational asso ciation representing the Euro pean adhesive and sealant industry, including one-component f oam manu factur ers. TRANS PORT / S TORAGE The foam maintains its usability within 18 mo nth s f rom the manufactur ing date, pr o vided that it is sto red in the o riginal packaging in a ver tical po sition (valve facing up) in a dry place at a temperatur e f rom 41°F (+5°C) to 86°F (+30°C). S to rage at a temper ature exceeding 86°F (+30°C) shor tens the shelf lif e of the product, adver sely affecting its parameters. T he product may be sto red at a temperatur e of 23°F (-5°C), no longer than for 7 days (excluding tr anspor t). Stor age o f fo am cans in temper atur es exceeding 122°F (+50°C) or in th e vicinity o f o pen flame is not allowed. Stor age of the product in a position other than r ecommended may result in jamming th e valve. T he can shou ld no t be squeezed or pierced even when it is empty. Do not stor e the f o am in the passenger compar tment. Tr anspor ted only in the tru nk. Detailed tr anspor t infor matio n is included in the S af ety Data S heet (S DS ).
